Curriculum Leadership
The CIA (Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment) team at CESA 8 provides leadership in standards, curriculum, assessment, and instruction to ensure that everyone is engaged in educational excellence.
The CESA 8 CIA team can support your district in staying up-to-date by providing high quality professional development customized for your teachers and leaders in the areas such as formative assessment and grading, unit planning, essential standards development, classroom management, etc.
We also serve as a liaison between the local district and university system as well as local districts and the Department of Public Instruction. Through this liaison role, the CIA team may link districts to special resources, which are available but may not be known to the districts. The role of staff within the CIA team may be one of consultation, facilitation, presentation, support, or initiating activities the districts may wish to address.
Services include CESA-based workshops, customized in-district training, consultation, summer workshops, and leadership training for administrative, teaching, and support staff. Networking opportunities are also available.
