Departments & Leadership
The local school district plays an important role in the quality of a child's life. That's where CESA 8 makes a difference. CESA 8 is an intermediate service agency which provides programs, services, and resources to 27 school districts in Northeastern Wisconsin. CESA 8 is committed to helping the school districts meet educational needs of their students. In 1965 the Wisconsin Legislature created Cooperative Educational Service Agencies to replace the office of County Superintendent of Schools. Today, there are twelve such agencies in the state of Wisconsin. They are non-profit service organizations monitored by the state, operating on an annual budget. The CESA structure was created to provide "better education through cooperation." CESA 8 has provided services and programs to its districts for over a quarter of a century.
